fiol

Fiol translates a place into an object.

We work with museums, hospitality groups and brands to make the things that outlive the moment.

Paris—From design to delivery
Studio
Fiol founders Torunn Myklebust and Brede Rørstad

Fiol came out of No More Mondays, a design studio in Paris, built on twenty years in luxury fashion: Cartier, Chloé, Bottega Veneta, Loewe.

We take a work from a collection, or the character of a building, and translate it to fabric. Woven, printed, finished by hand.

Founded by Torunn Myklebust and Brede Rørstad.

How we work

Four steps, from what you already have to the object in someone's hands.

01Read

We start with what you already have: the collection, the building, the archive, the brand. We build from what only you could claim, and agree on the direction before anything is drawn.

02Translate

It becomes a design. Scale, colour, border, repeat — the decisions that turn a part of you into something someone wants to own.

03Make

Heavy silk twill, printed on both sides so the colour holds front and back. Edges rolled and stitched by hand, one stitch at a time. Packaging designed for the piece.

04Deliver

Sampled, approved, produced, delivered. And when you're ready for a reorder, we make sure the tenth run matches the first.
